Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Interior ministry and the Customs office have introduced new rules for car registration aimed at preventing theft and smuggling. Under the new rules individuals and firms will have to provide a certificate that the vehicle was signed out in the country of origin for all second-hand cars bought abroad when they register them in Montenegro, the interior ministry said. New vehicles that are imported have to have a registration card and licence plates and the sales invoice. Montenegrins working abroad will only be able to register their vehicles in Montenegro after providing documents that they have signed them out from the country of origin.
