New law to improve tourism services

New law to improve tourism services
Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - A new Montenegrin Law on Tourism will protect the interests of foreign investors and create preconditions for a better quality tourism services, the Montenegrin Ministry of Tourism said. The new rules define incentives for the development of less developed regions and specific forms of tourism in Montenegro. The government adopted the draft law on April 19, which now needs parliamentary approval. Under the law, a new tourism inspection will be set up, with wide powers, to supervise the implementation of the law and impose strict penalties in order to legalise tourist activities. The law meets directives of the European Union related to travel contracts, insurance of tourists, and travel arrangements. The structure of the law has been copied from the Croatian bill.
