Meeting of workers of Montenegrobanka that have been dismissed would be organized next week. This is the decision of today#s meeting of about 20 former workers of the bank. They sent their letters of complaint at the list of dismissed workers that was presented at the notice board in the headquarters of the bank, and 53 of them are from Podgorica, so they decided to meet when Darko Bulatovic, judicial manager returns from a business trip. President of the Union of Montenegrobanka, Veselin Krivokapic, said that public would not be informed of conclusions of today#s closed-door meeting of workers organized today at 2 p.m. President of the Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Ljubisa Krgovic, said today for Mina-business that special program for taking care of dismissed workers of Montenegrobanka would not be made. He said that Ministry of labour and social welfare would deal with this social problem within its regular scope of activities of aid to employees that were left out of work due to bankruptcy or liquidation of the company. Montenegrobanka has been under judiciary management of the Central Bank of Montenegro for almost a year, and it has been announced that until April 9, when the judiciary management would end, half of formerly employed number of 424 workers would be dismissed. Monetary authority has explained before that reduction of number of employees in Montenegrobanka was necessary for making the bank solvent. In April last year, value of the property of the bank was less than 8 million DEM of debts. The Central Bank hopes that Montenegrobanka would be interesting for adding of capital, which is why the Government has recently decided to take over the old savings in foreign currency and foreign debt from its balance.
