Podgorica, (MINA) – Anyone who dares to criticize social developments or speak out about the chaos in Montenegro, can become a target of the prosecution, said leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) parliamentary club Andrija Nikolic.

He said this during the first session of the regular autumn sitting of parliament, which began in Cetinje on Monday, and will continue in Podgorica on Tuesday.

Nikolic said that in late July, DPS MPs were threatened by the parliamentary majority MPs “to get ready for what’s coming after the summer season” and that in accordance with that, the prosecutor’s office has since launched attacks against critically oriented media and the DPS.

According to Nikolic, the target is anyone who dares to speak about the chaos in Montenegro or criticizes social developments.

He told the parliamentary majority that, as of today, they are not just their political opponents.

“A message to the parliamentary majority – as of today, you are not only our political opponents, because some of you have legitimized yourself as our personal enemies, so we will treat you accordingly in the future”, said Nikolic.
