Representatives of Montenegrin and Serbian ministries of maritime and traffic, representatives of public firm Airports of Montenegro and Yugoslav airlines have not reached the agreement on solution to the legal status of airports in Podgorica and Tivat today.
"In the course of today#s meeting there has not been an improvement made regarding this issue, but it has been agreed Serbian ministry of traffic to forward us in a written form its opinion on solution to the legal status of Montenegrin airports", said for Montena business assistant of Minster of traffic and director of Public firm Airports of Montenegro Milovan Djurickovic.
Apart from Djurickovic, negotiations held in hotel "Mogren" in Budva, were also attended by Montenegrin and Serbian ministers of maritime and traffic Jusuf Kalamperovic and Marija Raeta Vukosavljevic as well as by General director of JAT Predrag Vujovic.
According to Djurickovic, it has been proposed at the meeting those two ministries to try to help resolving the dispute existing between Montenegrin airline company "Montenegro airlines" and JAT.
"We have agreed that this problem should still be resolved by the companies themselves but that the ministries should try to help them in reaching the agreement other then court settlement", explained Djurickovic.
Ministry of maritime and traffic of Montenegro proposed regulation of the Changes and supplements of the Serbian law on highway traffic not to be applied. According to this regulation Montenegrin transporters would not be allowed to take passengers from the stations in Serbia.
"We think that appliance of this regulation should be postponed until two ministries reach the agreement on the way of transport and traffic between republics. It was agreed ministers of Serbia and Montenegro to try to reconcile the attitudes on this issue so that the adequate solution could be found", stated Djurickovic.
He estimated that the meeting was constructive inspite of not reaching the agreement on the legal status of Montenegrin airports.
