Nobody buys even the shares of the Telekom Company
Podgorica, (Montena-business)- The Monte Adria Broker registered yesterday the offer of more than 20,000 shares from the Telekom Montenegro. There were no interested buyers of these shares, told the Monte Adria Broker to Montena-business. The shareholders offered for sale 20,293 shares of Telekom at the prices from DEM 200 to 1,000. The only registered demand was for shares in the Hipotekarna Bank. Buyers demanded 95 shares at DEM 1,000, but these shares were not available at the Stock Exchange. "The share sellers determine the price and it is not possible to influence on that. It is obvious that, in the lack of demand for a company#s shares, offered sell prices reflect their wish, but not real market situation" it was said by a representative of Monte Adria. Real sales prices will be formed automatically when interested buyers appear at the market. "This year, there was no demand for the shares of Telekom. The last interested buyers were foreign investors who gave it up because of the instable political situation in Yugoslavia" says the broker. The brokers from Monte Adria think that the buyers don#t know how future main shareholder of Telekom will react and they are concerned for the security of their dividends. The brokers don#t expect any demand for the shares of Telekom before the end of MVP process and before selling of control shares packet. Of Telekom#s total capital 32% will be privatised in the MVP, and 52,7% by international tender. The brokers expect that this will happen at the beginning of the next year. Yesterday on the stock exchange, there were no interested buyers for 7,225 shares of the Marko Radovic Company and for 202 shares of the KAP. The shares of Marko Radovic were offered at the price of DEM 60,60, and the shares of KAP at the price of DEM 200. There was no demand for 104 shares of Rumija, at the price of DEM 150, for 73 shares of Novogradnja, at the price of DEM 50, for 21 shares of Gorica, at DEM 714, for 6 shares of Zitopromet, at the price of DEM 1,000. af/bd
