Until yesterday, about 300 of owners of illegally purchased goods submitted their application forms and about 1,000 of them took the forms from Directorate for public income.
Predrag Markovic, director of the DPI, said for Montena-fax that re-sellers in open markets submitted the greatest number of application forms.
“Interest for application is great, so we expect a greater response during the last two days,” said Markovic.
He also said that he expected applications from registered companies, if they did not want to, like all those who tried to avoid that obligation, find themselves under the fist of the law.
Action on elimination of black economy was started by decision of the Government of Montenegro that gave the deadline of ten days for amnesty for all those who report their illegally purchased goods by themselves, with guarantees of anonymity.
After August 10, confiscation of all illegally purchased goods would take place and legal procedure would be initiated against owners who do not report their goods themselves.
