The Board of strike of the Union of education announced that employees in education would continue their general strike if minister of education, Predrag Ivanovic, did not offer concrete solutions as regards the increase of coefficients.
Spokesman of the Board of Strike, Milorad Pejovic, said for Montena-business that employees in education were dissatisfied with the proposal of the Ministry of education that it would try to find a possibility for increase of coefficients within its own budget till the end of March.
"The Board of Strike and Municipal Board of Podgorica, deem as unacceptable to wait for fulfilment of our main request till the end of March. Therefore, minister Predrag Ivanovic would attend tonight#s meeting of the Union of Podgorica, and we expect from him some concrete offers for increase of coefficients," said Pejovic.
He explained that, in that case, at the meeting of municipal branches of the Union and the Board of strike, scheduled for tomorrow, the decision on the future of the strike in Montenegrin schools could be made.
"We are hoping for a concrete offer from the Ministry, because workers in education want the stoppage of work closed as soon as possible and continue the usual school activities, but we cannot decide on that until the minister informs us of the increase of coefficients he offers us," said Pejovic.
More than 5,000 employees in Montenegrin education has completely stopped all their activities on February 4, and two days ago, the General Board of the Union refused the proposal of the Government on compliance with the minimum of lectures during the strike. Employees in schools still request the increase of coefficients for 30 percents, and refuse the Government#s proposal to stop the strike after payment of due allowances.
