Niksic (MINA-BUSINESS) - The general strike of around 70 percent of all the workers at the Trebjesa brewery in Niksic will last until the management agrees to sign a collective agreement, chairman of the striking committee Bozidar Perovic said. "The strike of 97 percent of all production workers will last until our demands are met. We expect the strike to last long and this is only a warm-up," Perovic told Mina-business. Representatives of Belgian company Interbrew, the majority owner of Trebjesa, were expected to sign the collective agreement on May 21 last year but failed to do so. The protesting workers say that their salaries have not risen for the past 14 months.
