Private passengers transporters from Podgorica are surprised by announcement on reduction of prices of services of the competitive public firm #public transportation# and they will, most probably, not follow their example.
#Public transportation# announced that it would reduce the prices of the ticket on suburban routes by 20% and after that on city routes as well by 30%. In other words, transport would be cheaper by 0,30 DM.
Proprietor of the firm "Minic" Nikola Minic said that his firm even before the public transportation firm had announced to the ministry in charge that they would reduce the prices in case they resolved the problem of unregistered taxi drivers.
"We have announced reduction of prices in case the competent institutions stopped the illegal transport of passengers. It has not been done. We cannot reduce the prices of transportation if the illegal transporters continue taking passengers from our stations", said Minic.
He estimated that there was no need to negotiate on the price of transport since the public transportation firm had reached the decision on reduction of prices without the agreement of the Association of city passengers transporters established not so long time ago.
"I shall not judge on the decision of PTF but I think it was politically motivated. Private transporters will not follow their example since the decision was reached without agreement and without results on stopping gray economy in the sphere of traffic", claims Minic.
Proprietor of the firm #Baston Alivodic# Haris Alivodic could not state precisely what kind of measures this firm would take in regard to the announced reduction of prices in transport of passengers.
"I am surprised by the decision of PTF so I still cannot tell what shall we do", said Alivodic.
He said that his firm would state it final position on reduction of prices of transport in couple of days.
