Privatisation Council`s profit declines
Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Montenegrin government#s Privatisation Council ended 2001 with a profit of 19,600 German marks, around six times less than in 2000. According to an annual report audited by Monterev auditors, total council#s revenues in 2001 were 284,000 German marks, around 14 percent of which had been earned from share auctions. Of total expenditures worth 264,000 German marks, five percent were tax and contributions payments. More than 56 percent of expenditures were payments to members of the Council and expert teams engaged in technical and administration work. Around 21,000 German marks were spent on advertising auctions in daily newspapers. The Privatisation Council was set up in 1998 to manage, supervise and implement the privatisation process.
