Slovenian company HIT that bought hotel Maestral from Budvanska Rivijera in July last year, would invest in the next 13 months 30 million DEM into its reconstruction. At the press conference organized today, it has also been stated that preparation works have begun these days. President of the Management of HIT, Branko Tomazic, said that the company planned to invest 15 million DEM at first, but due to the need for modernization of the greater part of the hotel, it had to raise the investments to the sum of 30 million DEM. Member of the Management and director of the hotel, Niko Trost, said that reconstruction of Maestral would be realized in two phases. "We shall complete the first phase until July 1 this year, and we shall reconstruct all rooms, halls and elevators and construct new capacities within that period of time. Contractor of this phase is Engineering Company "Crna Gora" from Niksic," said Trost. The second phase would begin after September 15, when the second phase would begin, and it would include construction of new reception desk, kitchen, restaurants, recreation areas, pool, conference hall, playroom and improvement of the grounds. "New infrastructure in the basement of the hotel would be completed within this phase. The reconstruction that would be completed until April 30 next year would provide to this hotel complex about 4,500 m2 of new areas and among them would be 23 new rooms," said Trost. After completion of the reconstruction, the hotel would have 171 room and nine apartments with the total number of 348 beds. Minister of tourism, Predrag Nenezic, said that he was satisfied with the realized plan, particularly because this project was in line with the Master Plan of tourism in Montenegro. "It is very important that the object would work the whole year through, because it would contribute to change of situation in this tourist region. I hope that we shall construct such partnership relations of this quality in the future," said Nenezic. Speaking of experiences of Budvanska Rivijera, director Ivo Armenko said that he was very satisfied with fulfilment of all obligations included in the contract. In July last year, the company HIT signed the contract with Budvanska Rivijera on purchase of hotel Maestral worth 9.5 million DEM. Slovenian company has so far paid 6.5 million DEM, and the rest of the contracted price would be paid till July this year.
