Representatives of Bar ask their competencies in managing the coast to be precisely defined
At today#s meeting of representatives of local self-management and public firm Coastal property (PFCP) it has been asked competencies and duties in managing the coastal property of Bar to be precisely defined. Director of this firm Dragan Ivancevic said that the work of cleaning and taking care of beaches would be offered to Public Utility Service of Bar. He said that planning in zone of Coastal property should be under the state competence while temporary objects and their incomes should be under the competence of local management since it was in line with the European chart on local self-management. Ivancevic agreed to the proposal municipality of Bar, with over 50 km of coast, to be allowed to have its representative in Managerial board of "Coastal property". Mayor of Bar Borislav Lalevic said that long-year#s ignoring of local self-management demands caused distrust in "Coastal property" and often resulted in conflict of competences in inspection work. "Golo brdo in Sutomore, where a hotel was planned to be constructed, is just an example of problem of unresolved competence. It is quite usurped and destroyed today and that is why it should be brought back to its original state", considered Lalevic. Representatives of Bar asked also the problem of competence in maintaining and usage of public lighting to be resolved as well as problem of cooperation and informing on future activities in coastal property zone.
