If Gross domestic product (GDP) in Montenegro continues to grow in the same intensity as last year, Montenegrin economy would need 70 years more to achieve the level from the beginning of 1990s, published the daily "Publika". According to the plans of the Government, the GDP growth should be five percents a year, so Montenegro would achieve the level of economic development it had in 1990s in 14 years. In order to attain present GDP of Slovenia, Montenegro would need 54 years. Last year#s growth of GDP was one percent and it was 1.61 billion DEM. The GDP planned for 2002 is 1.85 billion DEM.
