Ljubljana (MINA-BUSINESS) - Slovenian oil company Petrol has decided to expand activity in southeast Europe and has been interested in buying controlling stakes of the Serbian Beopetrol and Montenegrin Jugopetrol. The Slovenian company has said that according to moderate estimates an 80 percent stake in Beopetrol realistically cost around 60 million U.S. dollars, while some extreme estimates put the value of the share at nearly 300 million dollars. Petrol also expressed interest in buying a controlling stake in Jugopetrol Kotor, and the Montenegrin Privatisation Council has said that at least ten investors were interested in acquiring a 51 percent stake.
