Stock-exchange sale of shares of state funds this year
Stock-exchange sale of shares of the Bureau for employment and Fund for pension and invalid insurance (PIO) would be able after the draft of the Privatisation plan for this year is passed. Until then, they would be sold through public auctions, batch-sale method and international tenders. Deputy manager of the Bureau for employment, Bratislav Vukcevic, said that they would apply the last year#s plan until the new one was passed. Last year#s plan does not contain provisions on stock-exchange sale of shares, but only the sale through public auction. "After the Plan enters into force, shares of the Bureau for employment and PIO can no longer be bought through public auction, but only on stock-exchange, while the batch-sale and international tenders would continue. The exact date of the beginning of stock-exchange sale of shares of the PIO fund and the Bureau for employment would be known when the Government of Montenegro passes the Privatisation plan for this year," said Vukcevic. He said that the Bureau for employment owned seven percents of the total estimated value of the companies that are to be transformed, while the rest belonged to the Fund for pension and invalid insurance, Fund for development and individual shareholders. Vukcevic said that the stock-exchange activities would very probably be given to CG Broker, broker company that the Bureau for employment participated in and became its shareholder. He supposes that these shares would be traded in the NEX Montenegro stock-exchange, because, as he claims, it is the only one that fulfilled all criteria for stock-exchange activities. Director of the Agency for restructuring of economy and foreign investments, Branko Vujovic, who is also the member of the Council for privatisation, said that next week, the Council would discuss the draft of the privatisation plan for this year and afterwards it would direct it to the Government for passing.
