Stojkovic: It is not necessary SPP to work for now
Insufficient amounts of coal and favorable hydrological situation conditioned postponing of work initiation of the Steam power plant Pljevlja (SPP). The SPP stopped working on 17 February due to repairs, was announced from the Electrical industry of Montenegro (EPCG). "Coal reserves of SPP Pljevlja, which spends 6,5 thousand tons a day, amounted to over 25 thousands yesterday, while the optimal reserve is from 60 up to 65 thousand tons. We shall issue an order for initiation of work of SPP when we are officially confirmed by the management of the plant that all the conditions for continuing the work have been fulfilled", said director of Dispatcher center of EPCG Branko Stojkovic. He added that there was no need for urgent initiation of work of SPP due to high temperatures and significantly improved situation in Montenegrin hydroelectric power stations, and all of it influenced increase in production of electrical energy. During the four-days stoppage of work in the SPP Pljevlja, all small impairments were removed and service of boilers and filters were finished. Informative service of EPCG announced that during two days pause in work of SPP, Montenegro got 2,52 million kilowatt-hours a day from electrical industry of Serbia, and that is just how much the SPP usually produces.
