Electrical industry of Montenegro (EIM) has provided sufficient amounts of electrical energy for Montenegro for March and April. There will probably not be some more significant problems in supplying until 20 May when it is planned repair of the steam power plant Pljevlja to be finished, has been announced today by director of the firm Radomir Milovic.
After today#s meeting with mangers of SPP he has estimated that the forthcoming repairs, which is to initiate in 1 April, will not have a negative influence over the supplying of Montenegro with electrical energy.
According to Milovic, during this month electrical energy will be provided by daily production of approximately four million kilowatt hours of the SPP, 2,2 million of hydroelectric power station "Perucica" while 2,5 million kilowatt hours will be delivered by the Electrical industry of Serbia on the basis of the contract on long-term cooperation.
The rest of Montenegrin needs will be provided by importer of electrical energy for Montenegro ITF from London that, according to the contract it signed with EIM, will provide 4 up to 4,5 million kilowatt-hours a day.
Director of EIM has said nothing precisely on the way of providing sufficient amounts of electrical energy for April adding that in the meantime hydrological situation will improve and that hydroelectric power stations will be main suppliers during that month.
