Citizens and firms that settle their tax obligations in 90 days after the law on tax amnesty is put into effect will not be charged, was predicted by the draft of this law. Minster of finance assistant in charge of tax system Koviljka Mihailovic said for Mina-business that this law relied to all kinds of taxes and taxpayers. The government passed the Law by the end of January and the Parliament would state its position on the law at some of following sessions. In the explanation of the law it was said that by using the tax amnesty taxpayers provide legal security since they cannot be prosecuted or charged of the unpaid taxes. By settling the still unpaid accounts taxpayers reduce risk of increased expenses on the basis of interests and expenses of forced payment. This law would enable more efficient collecting of budget incomes and it would reduce expenses of tax and court proceeding due to forced payment of tax.
