The Financial Plan adopted by the Economic Council of Montenegro

The Financial Plan adopted by the Economic Council of Montenegro
Podgorica, (Montena-business)- At their meeting the ECMN adopted the outline of economic policy, financial plan which predicts incomes of DEM 1,3 million and a decision about collection of a membership#s contribution of 0,32% gross wage in the next year. At today#s meeting of the ECMN#s Assembly it was confirmed that the economic policy#s measures for last year still were real, and that there was no success in their realisation. The vice-president of the ECMN, Miodrag Causevic reminded the Assembly#s members on conclusions of the Managing Board and said that last year employment in outside-economy spheres and black economy had not been stopped, especially in construction, trade and traffic. "There is a prediction that the production in Montenegro will decline by 1% for this year, instead of growing" said Causevic. Montenegrin economists agree that a minimum labour price should be replaced by labour price per hour, and the public spending should be reduced. Economists predict that the labour price will reach 50% of budget#s expenses this year, related to 61% of budget#s expenses next year. "As there are no business climate in Montenegro, we suggest Montenegrin companies to pay all their attention to themselves, their business plans and quality standards. The State should assure stability in goods and services exchange and prevent monopoly in forming the prices of electric energy, telecommunications and oil derivates" concluded the managing board of the ECMN. The ECMN#s president, Vladimir Vukmirovic was not satisfied that the vice-president and the Minister of Montenegrin Government were not present at today#s meeting and he concluded that they didn#t want to hear the voice of the "Economic Parliament". Vukmirovic said that the ECMN should be more engaged in education of economists and added that the companies# owners after the MVP ends should not hurry with changing the managers in the companies. Vukmirovic suggested that the managers should have a term of 100 days to show the results of their work to their new owners. The members of the ECMN#s assembly demanded that the Montenegrin Government give more than verbal support to tourism, which is a Montenegrin strategic economic issue, and that the seasonal results should be compared to the results from ten years ago. The representative of the ECMN, Slobodan Vidmar thinks that the Government should turn to "locomotives of Montenegrin development, such as the EPMN, KAP, Bauxites and Coals Mines and tourism, or to their stabilisation programs, which were already done". af
