Parliament of the Municipality of Herceg Novi passed the budget for 2002 of about 3.6 million EUR, which is 28 percents more than last year. Reasons for increase of the budget is planned aid of 250,000 EUR to Municipal service and this year#s increase of wages in public institutions of 33.8 percents. Member of SNP, Predrag Andjelic, accused republic institutions for unauthorized taking of one million DEM that they had to pay for fees and court decisions for expropriated land. After that, representatives of DPS left the meeting so there was no quorum for voting of conclusions of activities of Public institution Sports Centre Igalo. Members of the local Parliament proposed abrogation of the contract with Belgrade company Energoprojekt that stopped the construction of Sports Centre Igalo three years ago due to lack of financial means. Acting manager of Sports Centre Igalo, Milos Vuckovic, proposed that Parliament starts the procedure for return of the land that Energoprojekt received from the Municipality as compensation for construction of the Centre. Local Parliament of Municipality of Herceg Novi would continue its activities on April 1.
