Bar (MINA-BUSINESS) – The shipping line between Bar and Bari in Italy, serviced by the St. Stefan ferry, has transported around 9,000 passengers, 2,000 cars and more than 1,000 trucks since the beginning of the year, marking a 30 percent rise in transportation volume on the same period last year, director of the enterprise Putnicki Terminal (Passenger Terminal) Rade Radoman said. Another ship Alba transported in January and February this year around 2,000 passengers, 400 cars and 700 trucks. Radoman said he hoped the trend would continue during the summer, when the ships of the Bar-based shipper plan 18 extra lines. The ship Saint (Svetac) will service the route five days a week, he said.
