This year Montenegro will be visited by 60% up to 70% more of foreign tourists then last year when the number of registered foreign tourist was 108 thousand, considers director of Tourist organization of Montenegro (TOCG) Predrag Jelusic.
On the basis of contracts signed with European tourist operators at fairs organized in Slovakia, Czech republic and Slovenia as well as in Vienna and Stuttgart, this year we expect 60% up to 70% more of foreign visitors and 30 thousand will come to Montenegro from western European countries", said Jeluuisc.
According to his estimations this year there will also be more tourist from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia that are very significant markets for Montenegrin tourism adding that more precise estimation will be available only after termination of the tourist fair in these countries.
"As far as the tourist workers and restaurant keepers are concerned, priority is providing of conditions for the forthcoming tourist season that is resolving the problem of water supplying and problem of waste disposal places in the tourist resorts as well as training of hotel personnel in providing more quality services", said Jelusic.
He reminded that Ministry of tourism initiated the campaign called "Let it all be clear" so that Montenegro could readily initiate the following summer season.
Jelusic announced that Montenegrin tourist offer will be presented at fairs in Belgrade from 10 till 13 March, fair in Sarajevo from 12 till 15 March, in Berlin from 16 till 20 March and in Moscow from 26 till 30 march. Finalization of fair presentations of tourist offer of Montenegro prepared by the TO of Montenegro are expected by mid of April, after termination of fair in Skopje.
