Tourist inspection that is to be in charge of eliminating of gray economy in the sphere of tourism in Montenegro, will be formed by the end of May, said Ministry of tourism secretary Lav Lajinovic during today#s dispute on the Law on tourism held in Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (CCM).
"Forming of tourist inspection is very important concerning the fact that during last year we had 60% of the non-registered gets in Montenegro. Training of ten up to twenty inspectors will be organized in April and May and they will start working after the training is finished", said Lajovic.
At the meeting of the board for tourism and restaurant management of CCM he reminded that Ministry of tourism assigned almost 820 thousand EUR for recuperation of 17 hotels that foreign tourist operators made part of their programs.
Representatives of tourist agencies asked for stiffening the criteria for obtaining the working license of those firms and the payment of intermediary provision from hotelkeepers for fixed arrangements to be determined by Law.
"Montenegro does not need 500 tourist agencies, currently existing in Montenegro. Problem of disloyal competition is big and that criteria for obtaining the license for intermediation in tourism should be determined", said director of "Montengroexpress" Dusan Lijesevic.
Lajovic said only the agencies registered in Montenegro, with exceptions allowed by Ministry, would have right of offering intermediary services in tourism.
Dispute on the Law would according to him last till Monday and the draft of the law would be forwarded to American agency USAID and German and Croatian experts for examination.
