Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - Under the new tourism law a tourist inspector can temporarily close down a restaurant or a hotel if he finds it is not registered properly or does not fulfil necessary technical conditions. Tourist control is conducted by 20 inspectors who have gone through two-week training. They will also oversee hygienic and technical conditions, ensure that all employees in the tourist industry have required working permits and that the facilities have been assigned proper categories. They will work in the coastal municipalities, as well as in Podgorica, Zabljak, Niksic and Berane. An inspector can also levy a fine or file charges.
