Trade Union of education would not agree to increase of coefficient lesser then 26% since according to official data expenses of living increased by the same percentage, was announced at today#s press conference.
Trade Union and educational workers do respect the position of the Government and the competent ministry but it will not renounce its demands. We shall make some concessions but only up to a certain limit. Compromise may be reached through increase of coefficient by 26% since expenses of living increased that much", said the president of trade union of Education Svetozar Bualtovic.
It was also announced at the press conference that approximately 8,5 thousands or over 90 % of the employed in Montenegrin schools continued striking by having shortened classes of 25 minutes.
Members of striking board estimated that the protest was successful since the Government agreed to help financing of housing fund with about a million DM per year.
Representatives of the trade union of education could not reach the agreement on making up the classes not held during the total stoppage of work in part of Montenegrin schools.
Bualtovic#s statement that pupils would not be damaged and that the classes would be made up was not confirmed by the secretary of the trade Union of education Zvonko Pavicevic who stated that he classes would not be made up but that only the material would be rationalized.
