Railways of Montenegro transported about 58,000 tons of various goods in January 2002, which is more than 28 percents higher than in December 2001.
Deputy director of the transport sector, Milovan Jankovic, said that the Railways of Montnegro transported the total of about 45,000 tons of goods in December 2001, of which bauxite made more than 20,000 tons.
"We have transported about 8,500 tons of petrol coke and more than 4,000 tons of alkali for the Aluminium Complex in Podgorica, and about 7,000 tons of mazout and wheat for the mill in Spuz," added Jankovic.
The Railway has no data on the number of passengers transported in January this year, yet.
