Uskokovic promised control of emission of harmful gases
Reducing of emission of harmful gases appeared as result of work of the Steam power plant Pljevlja up to a legally allowed maximum will be priority of Ministry of economy and Electrical industry of Montenegro, was announced by a competent minister Darko Uskokovic. On the occasion of visiting SPP Uskokovic said that emission of flying particles and gasses would be constantly controlled in surrounding of SPP and reports on the state of the environment in villages of local community Zabrdje would be constantly allowed insight into. "Aim of monitoring is reducing of emission of harmful gases and particles to a legally predicted standards", said Uskokovic, who visited village of Komini after the meeting with mangers of SPP. In talking to members of Board of the local community of Zabrdje, Uskokovic announced continuation of measuring the water, air and ground pollution in its villages. "Competent Ministries did all the necessary analyses as well as the Eco-toxicological institute from Podgorica. In the meantime SPP has stopped working primarily due to repair of electro-filter", said Uskokovic. According to him, remaining defects in work of filter should be eliminated during remount o aggregate the initiation of which is planned for 1 April. Uskokovic did not support declaration of ecologists from Pljevlja by which they demanded from the competent state organs for urgent stopping of harming the environment in Pljevlja. Signing of declaration, which should be soon put into parliamentary procedure in scope of civilian initiative of five non-governmental organizations, was offered to Uskokovic by president of Ecological society Breznica Milorad Mitrovic. Uskokovic promised he would think about possible support to demands of ecologists in case he got the text of declaration already signed by 3,5 thousand citizens in a form of an official document. He explained he could not sign the document the content of which was unknown to him.
