Belgrade (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia will receive in 2003 from the World Bank 180 million U.S. dollars in budget support and infrastructure financing, director of the World Bank for southeast Europe and Yugoslavia Christiaan Poortmaan said. The funds will be paid through the World Bank#s International Development Association (IDA) arm which finances the poorest countries. IDA status means a special access to credits, without any interest paid for the amounts of up to 35 million U.S. dollars. The funds are disbursed to countries with 885 dollars per capita income. Poortmaan told a news conference on Wednesday that the World Bank would next year finance the restructuring of Yugoslav enterprises and banks. Of the total of 540 million dollars in three-year structural adjustment credit programme, 80 percent of the funds would be disbursed to support the budget and the balance of payment.
