Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The World Bank board of directors is expected to approve in June a credit to Montenegro worth 15 million U.S. dollars to support the Montenegrin budget. A structural adjustment credit was discussed on Thursday between Finance Minister Miroslav Ivanisevic and World Bank#s director for Yugoslavia and southeast Europe Christiaan Poortmaan. The approval of the credit would mean that the World Bank is satisfied with Montenegrin reforms in public finances, energy, pension, labour systems and overall business environment, Ivanisevic said after meeting Poortmaan. The government is now working on a poverty reduction programme the financing of which could be approved by the World Bank, Ivanisevic said.
