Belgrade (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Yugoslav army will have to amend its budget for 2002 in order to train recruits who are due to join the army in September and December, chief of staff of the Yugoslav army#s department for education and training Momcilo Momcilovic said. The trainings would cost 7.0 million euros and the army had so far received only a third of the amount, spending a half of it on matured last year#s debts. Momcilovic said that the lack of cash had forced the army to reduce training programmes and that the reduction of research activities could have serious long-term negative effects on the army.
