Capital City Assembly session expected in second half of July

Capital City Assembly session expected in second half of July

Podgorica, (MINA) – The next session of the Capital City Assembly is expected to be held in the second half of July, Assembly chair Srdjan Peric announced.

Speaking at the press conference regarding the current events and the further dynamics of the work of the Capital City Assembly, he said that the first round of consultations with all councilor groups had been held earlier on Thursday.

Peric also said that he would not comment on his political group, the Movement Preokret’s position, regarding the report on the work of Podgorica Mayor Sasa Mujovic, adding that in his opinion the document lacks coherence.

“In addition to preventing the introduction of forced administration, I believe we are entering a period of political stability, which does not eliminate differences among political actors, but it doesn’t mean that everyone’s performance will be judged based on their results”, stated Peric and added that the timeframe for the next session of the Capital City Assembly is the second half of July.

He said that only two reports, on Mujovic’s work and a proposal to annul the decision on allocating the land for the quarry in Kuci, have been so far submitted to the Assembly.

“So, out of the announced 120 decisions and various reports and other acts, only these two are currently in the Assembly”, Peric added.

Peric also noted that he is scheduled to meet with Mujovic on Friday.
