CBCG: Interest rates decline slightly

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The weighted average effective interest rate on total approved loans, which includes all associated costs, decreased by 0.01 percentage point in February to 6.16 percent.
According to statistics published by the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) in its Bulletin, the weighted average nominal interest rate decreased by 0.01 point to 5.65 percent in this period.
In February, the effective interest rates for newly granted loans increased by 0.26 percentage points to 5.85 percent, while the nominal rate rose by 0.24 points to 5.41 percent.
In this period, the effective interest rate of microfinance institutions (MFIs) declined by 0.37 points to 18.84 percent, while the nominal one decreased by 0.32 points to 17.08 percent.
The weighted average effective interest rate offered by the MFIs for newly granted loans decreased by 0.65 percentage points to 15.23 percent, while the nominal one dropped by 0.58 points to 13.9 percent.
Compared with January, the weighted average effective interest rate on deposits decreased by 0.02 percentage point to 0.29 percent in February.
