Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary statistics of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), the total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) amounted to €131.98 billion in the first two months, while the outflow totalled €77.76 million.

The latest CBCG Bulletin says that net foreign direct investments amounted to €54.22 million in the first two months, 30.34 percent less than in last year’s corresponding period.  

“The total inflow of foreign direct investments was 3.96 percent lower than in the corresponding period,” the CBCG stated.  

The residents’ investments abroad amounted to €23.01 million, while the withdrawal of money invested in Montenegro by non-residents amounted to €54.75 million.

The FDI inflow related to the ownership investments amounted to €88.65 million, which accounts for 67.17 percent of the total inflow. Of that amount, the inflow based on the real estate investments amounted to €65.41 million, while the investments in companies and banks amounted to €23.24 million.

The FDI inflow in the form of intercompany debt amounted to €42.01 million, down 12.34 percent year on year.
