Mjajlovic and Spicanovic’s detention extended by three months

Mjajlovic and Spicanovic’s detention extended by three months

Podgorica, (MINA) – A panel of judges pf the Supreme Court, ruling on a request by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, has extended the pretrial detention of Aleksandar Mijajlovic and Drago Spicanovic by another three months.

According to the press release, the detention of the accused A.M. was extended on suspicion of forming a criminal organization, while the detention of D.S. was extended on suspicion of the same offense and the offense of disclosing confidential information.

The detention was extended due to the risk of flight, as well as possibility of influencing witnesses, and the risk of repeating the criminal offense.

The detention was ordered to Mijajlovic and Spicanovic initially by the decision of the High Court investigating judge on 5 October, and extended by the same court on 31 October, but was later overturned by the Appellate Court.

The Supreme Court now extended their detention for another three months, which can last until 3 April next year.
