Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegrin sailors, who have been stranded abroad a ship in the Strait of Hormuz for more than two months, have still not been released, despite the signing of a memorandum between the United States and Iran, envisaging the reopening of the strait.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told TV Vijesti that at the moment it is not possible to predict when the ship will be officially released, despite the signs of stabilization of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the MFA, the sailors are in good health and remain in regular contact with their families, reports portal Vijesti.
The MFA and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs said that Montenegrin institutions are in regular contact with the shipping company, international partners and families of the sailors and that they are making every effort to ensure their safe return home as soon as possible.
