President’s office: PES and BS once again block functioning of Constitutional Court

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Europe Now Movement (PES) and the Bosniak Party (BS) have for the third time blocked the functioning of the Constitutional Court and the European integration of Montenegro, the Cabinet of President Jakov Milatovic announced.

The Parliament elected on Wednesday Nikola Mugosa as a Constitutional Court judge, while Predrag Krstonijevic, proposed for the position by Milatovic, failed to secure the required number of votes in the first round of voting.

The President’s Office congratulated Mugosa on his election in a X social network pose and wished him success in performing this responsible duty.

“At the same time, we express our regret that High Court judge Predrag Krstonijevic was not elected today”, stated Milatovic’s office.

They thanked all political actors who, according to them, approached the vote responsibly.

“We note that this is already the third time that PES and BS have obstructed the functionality of the Constitutional Court and the European integration of Montenegro”, the President’s cabinet stated.
