Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Integrated quality management is the foundation of destination development, said Director of the National Tourism Organization (NTO) Ana Tripkovic Markovic, adding that the initiative aims to bring long-term changes to tourism.

“Through this initiative, which we have been continuously developing for several years, we are implementing a series of interconnected projects and activities, from the development of destination management and the Montenegro Quality label, to training, field analysis, measuring guest satisfaction through online reviews, and providing concrete tools to local tourism organizations to improve their work,” said Tripkovic Markovic.

She explained that a system is being created in this way that enables long-term quality management and the development of a competitive tourism offering.

“One concrete example of this approach is the pilot project we are implementing in Pljevlja, Danilovgrad and Kotor, where we have demonstrated that tourism products can be developed and implemented in a way that delivers measurable results and direct benefits to local communities,” she said.

Tripkovic Markovic added that, through this project, all three destinations clearly identified the challenges they face and developed strategic plans to overcome them and improve their destination image.
