Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to European one of the leaders or the European Alliance Ivan Vujovic, the Government has shown its arrogance by rejecting justified demands of employees and avoiding social dialogue, which is why a new General Collective Agreement (GCA), as a basic instrument of protection, was absent on the International Workers’ Day.
“The Government is ‘rewarding’ workers on 1 May by denying them basic rights. Instead of direct talks, as is the only appropriate way for serious social dialogue, the Government addresses workers through press releases and cancels scheduled meetings. At the same time, the Prime Minister accuses trade unions of blackmail,” Vujovic said in a press release.
He added that there is a possibility that the authorities could achieve the impossible in this way, namely, to unite trade unions and employers against themselves.
“If these were crypto investors instead of workers, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic would have time for talks and probably wouldn’t have even appeared at Prime Minister’s Questions in Parliament on Thursday,” Vujovic said.
