Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Montenegrin Foreign Investors Council (MFIC) organized its second MFIC Regatta on Thursday, bringing together representatives of member companies, the diplomatic corps, institutions and the association's partners.

Opening the event, Chairman of the MFIC Board of Directors Branko Mitrovic thanked member companies and sponsors for their support.

He said the MFIC Regatta provides an opportunity to further strengthen connections among the Council's members and partners to improve the business environment and enhance Montenegro's reputation as an investment destination.

The winner of this year's regatta was the crew of the yacht Altair, which achieved the best result on the race course in the Bay of Kotor.

The regatta was organized with the support of JK Lahor, Montenegro’s oldest and most successful sailing club.

The Montenegrin Foreign Investors Council brings together international companies operating in the country, which collectively generate around 21 percent of Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) and employ nearly 6,000 people.
