Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Government representatives who proposed the bill on business organizations, discussed today by the Parliament, stated that it is essential for the overall business environment, while opposition members highlighted the ongoing issue of employment based on political affiliation.

Acting Director General of the Directorate for Industrial and Handicraft Development at the Ministry of Economic Development Renata Milutinovic said in her introductory statement that this was a fundamental piece of legislation in the field of business law in Montenegro.

“It regulates in detail all key aspects of company operations – their establishment, organization, management methods, restructuring, and liquidation,” said Milutinovic.

Additionally, the law also regulates entrepreneurs and branches of foreign companies operating in Montenegro.

“This law is of essential importance for the entire business environment because it sets rules that enable the functioning of the market economy and guarantee the protection of economic freedoms in line with the constitutional commitment of the state,” Milutinovic stated.
