Mugosa: EA will do everything to prevent forced administration in Podgorica

Podgorica, (MINA) – The European Alliance will do everything in its power to prevent the introduction of forced administration in Podgorica, which would essentially suspend the democratic governance structure in the Capital City, said official of this political entity, Boris Mugosa.

He said that forced administration would entail the suspension of the Capital City Assembly as its legislative and oversight body, stressing that it is important to preserve the functionality of the local self-government.

“It’s not a matter of who is closer to which political subject, but of making the system functional, that is, having both a functional assembly and executive power”, said Mugosa.

He assessed that the previous majority, during two electoral cycles and four years in power, demonstrated that it is incapable of managing the Capital City.

Mugosa believes that political changes in Podgorica are inevitable, whether tomorrow, in a month or at the latest in a year.

“The sooner the better for the development of Podgorica, which must be a model city, and not a city held hostage by a constant crisis, the consequences of which the citizens suffer”, Mugosa said.
