Spajic: All political actors must prioritize constitutional amendments

Podgorica, (MINA) – The European Commission (EC) is ready to welcome Montenegro, while it is the country’s tasked to deliver the remaining reforms and complete the accession negotiations by the end of the year, said Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, adding that constitutional amendments must be a priority for all political actors.
He posted on the X social network that he met with EC President Ursula von der Leyen in Tivat, during the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Summit.
“The European Commission, led by Von der Leyen, is ready to welcome Montenegro, and our task is to deliver the remaining reforms and complete the accession negotiations by the end of the year”, said Spajic.
Spajic said that the Government remains fully focused on achieving that goal.
“The government of Montenegro remains fully focused, with a clear plan and a historic goal – Montenegro is part of the EU. It’s up to us”, Spajic concluded.
