Certificates awarded to tourist guides

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), a formal certificate award ceremony was held at the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) for participants who successfully completed training for tourist guides.

“This is another training programme implemented within accredited courses for shortage occupations, launched by the Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with educational institutions. The goal is to address the shortage of professionally trained personnel in the labour market. The training was jointly financed by UDG and the PKCG,” the Chamber said in a press release.

Director of the Education and Quality Sector at PKCG, Mladen Perazic, said that the training programmes enable participants to acquire in-demand knowledge and skills while helping reduce the gap between employers’ needs and labour market supply.

“Congratulations on completing training for a profession that is very important for every country, especially for a tourist destination such as ours. A tourist guide is often the first person foreign visitors encounter in a country, and it is their responsibility to present it in the best possible way. I have no doubt that you will be able to do that,” Perazic said.

Haris Muminovic of UDG expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the tourist guide training programme, which was conducted at the Faculty of Culture and Tourism.

“It is a pleasure to award certificates today to participants who successfully passed the internal examinations within this training programme. I would also like to express my satisfaction with the successful cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce throughout this process, which will continue in the future,” Muminovic said.
