Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Finance has organized a training session titled “Implementation of Gender-Responsive Budgeting – A Theoretical and Practical Approach”.

“The training was conducted in the form of an interactive exercise that combined a theoretical framework with practical work, focusing on the process of submitting budget requests for activities that include a gender component,” the Ministry stated in a press release.

The Ministry explained that the goal of the training was to enhance practical skills in applying gender-responsive budgeting through real-life examples and the analysis of budget requests that incorporate a gender dimension.

“Special emphasis was placed on understanding how the gender perspective is integrated into the budgeting process, as well as on empowering public officials to identify and define gender-responsive budget activities,” the press release reads.

Participants had the opportunity to improve their existing skills and apply them through a simulation exercise on preparing budget requests, focusing on gender equality goals.
