Crnogorska Plovidba’s liquidation attributed to negligence

Crnogorska Plovidba’s liquidation attributed to negligence

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Office of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, Crnogorska Plovidba is on the verge of shutdown, and its ships are being sold, which is the result of years of negligence, party-based nepotism, and mismanagement that have turned the company into a symbol of failed governance.

“Montenegro can no longer be held hostage by party experiments, incompetent directors, and poor government decisions that citizens ultimately pay for,” stated a press release issued by the President’s Office, adding that those responsible should be held accountable.

The press release stated that the Government had resigned itself to the sale of the ships, which is why it must bear the greatest responsibility for the bankruptcy of Crnogorska Plovidba.

“It is the Government’s responsibility to disclose the names of everyone who pushed Crnogorska Plovidba into bankruptcy by signing, remaining silent, or through negligence,” the Office stated.

The Office reminded that promises of change and justice were made, but politicians have failed to deliver.

“Changes have only brought different people into the same positions of power. The citizens of Montenegro have decided that responsibility must be assumed, not just positions. Therefore, it is necessary to establish full accountability of all who managed Crnogorska Plovidba,” the press release concluded.
