Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj has said that the United States of America (USA) is a strategic ally of Montenegro, and efforts are being made daily to ensure that Montenegro is a safe and competitive country for investment by American companies.

During his visit to Washington, D.C, he met with Richard Grenell, Special Envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Gjeloshaj stated in a press release that he thanked Grenell for being a strong friend of the Balkan countries and invited him to support the citizens of Montenegro and the Government on their path toward European integration, regional cooperation, and strengthening ties with the United States.

“I assured him that the USA is our strategic ally and that we are working every day to make Montenegro a safe and competitive destination for American investments,” Gjeloshaj said.

He added that economic and business relations would further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
