Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic has said that proposed amendments to this year’s Budget Law are technical in nature and do not lead to a change in the budget outcome.
Speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for Economy, Finance, and Budget, where the budget revision was discussed, he said the amendments were proposed for technical alignment following the adoption and implementation of the new Regulation on the Organization and Operation of State Administration.
“According to the draft law, revenues amounting to €4.03 billion are allocated as follows: €1.5 billion to the current budget, €1.3 billion to funds, €280 million to the capital budget, €43 million to the budget reserve, and €890 million to financing transactions,” Vukovic specified.
He added that technical amendments were made compared to the original law, in line with changes to the Regulation, resulting in an increase of the total budget by just seven euros due to the need to open certain budget positions necessary for adequate expenditure tracking.
“The structure saw an increase in the current budget by €409,000. The same amount was deducted from the current reserve, while the capital budget, state funds, and financing transactions remained unchanged,” Vukovic said.
In other words, the budget outcome does not change; while projected revenues, total projected expenditures, and the deficit essentially remain the same after the amendments.
