Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro can reach its EU ambitions if its stays focused on the goal and united, said President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

Von der Leyen has arrived in Montenegro, for a visit during which she will open the EU- Montenegro investment conference “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in Montenegro” on Tuesday.

She wrote on the X social network that every time she comes to Montenegro she can feel “the heart of Europe beating”.

“You are not only committed to your European future. You are passionate about it”, said von der Leyen.

According to her, it shows since Montenegro is a frontrunner in the accession process.
