Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The National Tourism Organization (NTO) has extended the deadline until Monday for applications to the competition for the best media content promoting Montenegrin tourism this year.

According to the NTO, the aim of the competition is to recognize and reward authors who have contributed to promoting Montenegro as an attractive, authentic, and year-round tourist destination through their journalistic, digital, and audiovisual works. 

“NTO wishes to highlight the important role of the media and content creators in conveying the spirit of the destination, and to encourage greater visibility of local stories, people, and values that make Montenegro unique,” the NTO stated in a press release.

The competition is open to journalists, bloggers, influencers, photographers, and all content creators who have published content this year about Montenegro’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, gastronomy, active tourism, and other segments of the country’s tourism.

The total prize fund amounts to €2,400, and the awards will be granted in three categories – for the best online content, television feature, and journalistic article – with each award amounting to €800.
